Site Description: Amerada Hess restored this site between 1995 and 1997 as mitigation for permitted marsh fills. Prior to restoration, the site supported a monoculture of common reed (Phragmites australis). Site restoration included the removal of previously placed dredged material and planting of smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora). Currently, the site is dominated by S. alterniflora, with inclusions of Phragmites
