MESIC Report Web Site

In 2003, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-New York District, in cooperation with the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, Rutgers University, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, contracted with the Louis Berger group to create a comprehensive Site Report on the Hackensack Meadowlands. This document, published in 2004 and titled the Meadowlands Environmental Site Investigation Compilation (MESIC) has proven to be an invaluable research resource. Contained within it are detailed site-by-site descriptions and bibliographic references to 50 significant Wetlands, Water-bodies, Remediation Sites and Future Remediation Sites within the district. Welcome to the MERI Library Blog!

In today’s inaugural post, I would like to pose the question. Which format do you prefer, Print Books and Documents? Or e-books and pdf files?

The MERI Library’s collection currently consists of over 1350 cataloged books and over 1200 cataloged archival documents. Of that number combined, there are 1071 reports, books and documents available online in digital format. Continue Reading →
